Me and many of my colleagues are on baited breath waiting for the
ability to have a common, shared address book: add a friend in my
address book and have my wife see this friend appear on her address
book too. Is this so much more difficult than the shared calendars we
are already enjoying for a while now?

I have a contact in my chat list that I also want to remove. I don't
chat with that person any more. How do you remove a contact from the
chat list?

i'm using the AT&T i-phone. i used to use the google talk icon to get
to my mail or chat. now i cannot do that anymore. i don't have
google talk on the phone but i do sync the google mail to my phone.
why is that such a big problem? so what i did; i set up my gmail in
internet explorer tab and then i have google talk in igoogle tab on

Whoa, do you think you could post what I just sent to you? Heh, I
thought I posting something but I guess it was just a little email or
something? Another check for confounded communication.

Sucks is really an understatement.

While I have yet to expose myself to the fantasy/tyranny of an android
phone and jump off the map (or onto it I guess) by becoming completely
mobile, I have taken some necessary steps in anticipation of the move
to mobile. I used to store all of my phone numbers on a spreadsheet

cmshap is absolutely correct. In trying to assist, I tested in
Firefox 3.0.8 and Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702 on WindowsXP. The
behavior is slightly different between the two browsers.

In both browsers, perform the following steps to permanently save the
'Show in chat list:' setting:

1) Edit Contact.

I have same issue, unable to see contacts, blank screen etc. Has been
sporadic in the past, but is eliminated if I switch to "older version"
in top right corner

Hello,

I have encountered this problem while chatting to my wife on her
phone.

'must reply before you can send more messages'

We didn't realize that she had to reply for it to continue working.
Now it doesn't work at all. How can we reset this so that I can send
her a message and she can reply right away?

I forgot to mention the problem with chat is only applicable in
Firefox. When I use IE or the IE tab in Firefox, the chat works fine.

I have tried everything I can think of: running Trendmicro,
uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, clearing all of the private
data, and restarting my computer, BUT for the past 2+ days, the chat
feature on Gmail continually says "Unable to reach Gmail. Please check
your internet connection." Other issues include the Tree theme only

I have XP and am having the same problem. Maybe Google can give us an
answer when they find so many are having the same problem.

I wanted to report that I just noticed more of my contacts are missing
today. This time, it seems to be fellow "GMail" users. This is getting
ridiculous. Assistance would be greatly appreciated!
