Cannot set up my gmail account on unlocked 8700 Berry

Hi,

I have been trying to set up and synchronize my personal gmail account
onto a used & unlocked blackberry in order to receive my emails on the
go.

However, every time I try to set the thing up using the given
instructions, I get the following message "Invalid email address or
password: please verify your email address and password. The

At my University they have changed to allowing only IMAP as the means
to access mails.
This means that when I want to upload my mails to Gmail, I need to use
the IMAP protocol.
However under settings->'Get mail from other accounts' the only option
with 'Add a mail account you own' is set a 'POP Server'.

Hello

I have had my Gmail account for a long time and never had any problems
before.

I usually receive in excess of 70 emails per day, but I have had none
since the weekend.

My email host saya that because I forward my email to gmail and I
don't have a web mail inbox with them they cannot help.

Check your firewall settings, to ensure that you can make outbound
connections to port 465.

I did find one phone that the steps I outlined above didn't work on. I
did a factory reset, configured as above and it now works 100% of the
time.

See if that helps if you are able to do the reset. Only real pain is
that you have to re-add all your applications.

As for your contact and other information, you can always back that up

This occured in Outlook Express. I can no longer send or receive from
Gmail. I've checked all settings and they are correct. An HP
technician helped re-install an AIO and we think he removed a registry
item needed. Has anyone had this problem, before I take it into
someone? Here is the exact error:

Google Apps mail accounts are configured the same way as regular Gmail
accounts, except that you use the full email address for the username:

I have two machine one is XP OS download gmail and other mail account
was fine. But the office Vista OS machine at the last two months can't
receive any gmail will receive other mail box, but before two months
ago all work fine, both machine all use outlook 2003.

If you are using POP3 Access to your Gmail account you can set the
options for it in Settings->Forward&POP/IMAP Access. IMAP has
different situation and solution.

Hello,

Now i am getting all my mails on my nokia handheld. After configuring
this, none of my mails are not showing in gmail inbox. i will have to
open "All Mails" to view this mails. Is it going to the archive

1. Make sure that IMAP is enabled in Gmail settings.

Did you wait a day for your IMAP account to get enabled in Gmail
servers?

2. Check these important settings:
a. Change the server timeout time from 1 min to 5 min
b. IMAP SSL is selected.

I entered all of my information correctly (to my knowledge) by
following the guide to setting up an account with Thunderbird, but
every time I try to retrieve my mail I get an error.

"Mail server imap.gmail.com is not an IMAP4 mail server."
