...elasticated waisted trousers, that I know so many of us like to put
on for an evening of lounging, they allow one to eat too much.
I have invested in a couple of pairs of what I gather are the ultimate
in jeans. Ony trouble is I think the designers have flipped, they seem
to think that women's waists are now a good inch or two below what I
consider to be normal waist area.
I don't know about you, but although they fit nicely over the hips, they
leave the waist area free to expand. Rather defeats the object dontcha know.
I like jeans, and I am fortunate enough to be slim enough to get away
with them. I particularly like the bootleg ones because I do like to
wear boots but they are horribly uncomfortable after an evening meal, or
rather they were, now without the restriction around the waist I can
still pig out and not notice.
What a waste of time. I shall go back to my expandables and eat less
crisps. ;-)

The latest "low-rise" jeans get Mavis in a real temper, because they are
so stupid; unflattering on anyone, really, especially when they stoop
and reveal their thongs.
She finds it almost impossible to find any with a decent length zip.

Hint:  Have you tried buying men's, and taking in the waist?
Only trouble is the legs are too long even for me!

I get away with it because the other stupid current fashion is to wear
them bunched into folds on your shoes.

Mine are all elasticized, too.  They're more comfortable and less trouble to
put on and take off.  They're also wash and wear.

Unfortunately, that seems to be the fashion here, too.  It's really
difficult to find a big enough frame (I wear trifocals).  Fortunately, I
always keep my previous pair as a backup, so when I go to get new ones, I
have them use the old frame.  When they break, I'll be stuck, but maybe by
then larger frames will be in fashion again.

Heh!  I really hate those low-rise jeans.  Most of the women's
wear seems to feature that now--and those little cap sleeves.  I
don't think either of them are most becoming on a woman my age.

I have always done that too.  Unfortunately the last time I had quite a
correction, and the old pair is a poor substitute. Those are also very
fragile  now, but they are better than nothing when traveling.

The price of glasses today is outrageous, so I am not going for a second
pair just now.

Don't forget that it is obligatory for one shoulder to be exposed by the
