Subject: Fall blooms finally starting

The heat wave is over and we have moderate high temperatures ranging
from the high sixties to the low eighties. The weather gods just can't
seem to make up their minds yet. What is nice is that the fall flowers
have started to bloom. The cyclamen are coming up, new buds are
forming on the roses, and the various flowering bushes and trees are
coming out of their summer funk. My wife just had me plant several
pots of petunias and geraniums, some of which may last until late
spring or early summer if I pay attention to frost warnings. Around
the schools, flowering bushes are starting to flower as indicated by
this single bloom I captured early Tuesday morning. I don't have the
technique down yet but I am going to experiment with macro and see
what develops. I will probably do better with a tripod, but I don't
have time in the mornings just before school begins.
