I was asked to post some pics of the lavoire that I talked on a week or so ago. This is in my friend's Judy's garden who lives 20 minutes from me. Judy is a well known artist and also sculpts. The lavoire was where women washed their clothes in the "old days". To show scale I have stood on the mount, note the stones jutting out below my legs where one climbed up, please excuse my bum! The mermaid is almost finished, and I have posted a pic of that also, all with my friend's permission, hope you enjoy them.

You're welcome, can you imagine, Winter, snow, ice and washing the clothes in there? The water is icy as it is comes underground from the mountains. On hots days, the plan is for my friend to sit in there and get cool!!

Can I echo that Joan? can you imagine the cold, chapped hands, never mind the poor knees!!!!? Today I have done as you advised, put my big girl's knickers on and looked seriously, at other options. The other half, has little confidence in my skills, so with dire warnings of messing the entire system up, I went ahead and tried to download Turnpike. There is a problem, I'm not sure what, but I'll get there, the other 2 computers didn't crash, but I have a husband who insists that I am not allowed to do these things, (much grinding of teeth etc.) well, blow me, I'll show him lol
Well, if I traveled I would come over there and give him a smack (not a kiss type smack).

This computer Val, is a laptop, Sony Vaio with Windows XP, we have 2 others, desktops and one of those is Vista Ultimate. I was on Demon for many years, about 12 I think, and, of course, had Turnpike which came free initially. There is still a free basic version. I will work through the problems and see where I am going wrong, and if all else fails I will mail Turnpike and ask them what I could be doing wrong. I can't say I am enjoying sorting it out, I tend to get annoyed when it doesn't work but it's a challenge and that's something I haven't backed away from in the past, so I'll keep on until I get it!!!!!

My husband is a lovely and very kind man BUT he does not like me touching anything which he considers I know little about. Rather than teach me, he always says he will do it!!!! I have asked him, many times in recent months to show me how fuses work and what to do if the electricity goes off when he is not here, I am still waiting. I suppose I am really at fault because when I was working all hours, I was glad to leave all that stuff to him, now I want to know for myself!!!!
Ask him how he expects you to take care of yourself if something should happen to him.

We are with Neuf Telecom Val. I was with Demon on another computer until December 2007, I still have the original Turnpike discs, I am not interested in uploading the latest as I only use Google and only ever used Turnpike for newsgroups, which, fortunately is a small part of my life but I will get to grips with it, thanks for all your advice Val.

That question was asked months ago when I wanted to backwash the filters in the pool. We will get there, slowly...
