Here is the link to the Nature Photographers website. This
photographer is featured this month and he talks about how last year
he waited and never got a clear mountain shot. This site is wonderful
and I think you will like it if you have never visited before.

The thing about that photo is the depth of field he achieved. The
grasses very near are sharp and everything to the mountain and beyond
to the clouds are all very sharp. Definitely a tripod shot and a
photographer that is way above my skills.

We spent 4 days at Mt. McKinley waiting for the mountain to clear
(August). It never did. Approx 30 miles from the mountain and we never
saw it. McKinley is such a massive amount of ice it creates it's own
weather. June is best for possible viewing the mountain.

Thanks for the link, it will get lot's of use. If I read his comments
correctly, he did not achieve this in the camera but in the computer
by blending three different photos. Layering from one photo to another
is something in photo shop I just can't seem to get the hang of. The
effect is very danamic.

To clarify why I do not comment on some of the referrals to other
sources of info. and beuatiful photos, etc.etc.
I cannot access them with my little webtv; It is not my lack of
appreciation!!!!!
