You have got to be joking. The auto industry is not responsible for bad drivers breaking the laws - speeding, DUI, reckless driving etc... - they do not "pay the media" to ignore a problem that they have absolutely no responsibility for. They do OTOH hand spend plenty to make vehicles safer if they are involved in crashes.
