If this is the same case I am thinking of, if the radio station
people didn't know anything about water intoxication, they had
listeners (some with medical credentials) who called in to mention
this while the contest was going on. They were ignored.

I wonder how well it would go over when another radio stations puts
a bunch of contestants and lobsters in a very large pot filled with
butter and water, with a very large fire under it, and the fire
slowly raises the temperature until the contestants either get out
of the pot (and lose the contest) or get cooked.
