A NEW jury will be empanelled to retry Mark Wilhelm for the manslaughter
of Dianne Brimble, after a previous one failed to return a verdict last
month.
Crown Prosecutor Mark Hobart told the New South Wales Supreme Court
today the new trial would last about two weeks.
Justice Rod Howie will preside over the new trial, set down to begin on
April 19 next year.
Wilhelm, who was not present for today's hearing, is charged with
supplying Ms Brimble with the drug Fantasy, also known as GHB, on a
Pacific Sky cruise in 2002.
He also faces one count of manslaughter.
A four-week trial ended last month with a jury unable to reach a verdict.
