Subject: A Little Help - Editing DVDs From A LiteOn Burner
I really have no idea as to how to resolve a small problems that I have.

Got a LiteOn DVD burner.  It will take a VHS tape and burn it to a DVD.

Use it to burn TV shows and send to my son who is stationed overseas.

01. Would like to burn the shows to a DVD+RW. (This I can do)

02. Put the DVD+RW into my computer and eliminate the commercials.  (This is
the project of the day)

03.  Burn a regular DVD with multiple shows on it.

LiteOn states that they burn in MPEG2 format; however, when I look at files
on the DVD+RW I find two directories (Video_TS and Video_RM).

In these directories are file with suffixes of .BUP, .IFO, and .VOB.
Nothing that has a suffix of .MPG.  The computer and my home DVD player has
no problem playing the videos.

What would be a good brand of software that will enable me to edit these
shows and delete the commercials.  Really would like to avoid rocket science
in this.

If I am able to edit the videos, is there going to be a problem burning
multiple videos onto a single DVD

Any help appreciated.

Use the Source Wizard in "TMPGEnc DVD Author" and it
will let you make a new DVD from your RW disk.  You
can edit the commercials out with it also.  To make a DVD
with multiple videos, it is best to put them in as separate titles.
