The easy way to achieve that effect is to use zoom levels 13 to 17
rather than zoom levels 1 to 4. Display blank tiles outside the visible
region. Technically things do still wrap, but the user only perceives
the effect if they drag the map sideways through 2048 screenwidths.

You don't get control of the cursor when dragging a marker, but you
could write your own dragCrossImage crosshairs if you don't like the
Google ones.

Also, draggable markers only ever drag with the left mouse button.

So I think you're out of luck with that.

hidden feature addressed to an advanced user (and a changing cursor on
mousedown is not so rare). Normally he wants to drag the whole map as

Pitfall #2:
The API calculates the polyline geometry at zoom level 17. This means
that any GProjection used in a map that has polylines must be created
with at least 18 zoom levels, even if the map itself has far fewer
zoom levels.

The API code performs some of the pixel calculations necessary for
polygon rendering at zoom level 17, then saves that information. This
makes the code slightly more efficient than recalculating from scratch
whenever the zoom level changes. This means that polygons only work in
an environment that has a GProjection capable of performing pixel

Hi,

I have created a custom map meant for four zoom levels. It uses a
Euclidean projection. However, when I set the maximum number of zoom
levels less than 17 and add polygons the script breaks. I can't figure

Look closer. I made at least 3 changes (I'm not sure which fixed it,
but I suspect the GXml.value):
1. GXml.value instead of the browser dependent nodeValue
var encodedPoints = GXml.value(pointsNode[0]);
var encodedPoints = pointsNode[0].childNodes[0].no deValue;

Yes, you need to send the lat/long to a reverse geocoder.
Unfortunately you can't use Google's, because that is provided for use
with a Google map only.

If the infowindow is open you can use
map.getInfoWindow().getContent Containers(). It returns an array of DOM
nodes, one for each tab. So if you're not using tabs you can read

map.getInfoWindow().getContent Containers()[0].firstChild.inn erHTML

which should return exactly the "sometext" that you put in.
