Discuss the Google Maps API, which lets developers embed Google Maps in their own web pages with JavaScript. If you'd like to troubleshoot your development of the API, please remember the following: - Post a link, not a code snippet so that others can see your code in its proper context. - Search the Group, chances are someone else has had the same issue. - Make use of published documentation at http://www.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/

 That completely depends on how the content of the info window is
built. I can think of four or five ways to build the content of an
info window - maybe more...

There are good reasons why the posting guide lines recommends to post
a link

[link]

 BTW 2: You're using pngfix for every image that probably will cause
trouble in IE

img, #logo { behavior: url(./scripts/iepngfix.htc); }

The map images do not need this second fix. Try to search the archives
of the group if IE makes troubles with this one.

 Every time when hovering over the 'search location' button the map
will be loaded again. This is also the case after initially loading
the page although the map is not visible at this time

<input type="submit" class="button" onMouseover="load();" ...>

The function to load the map is called load().

 There's certainly nothing in Javascript that will allow you to search
other people's images for pixel colours. HTML5 capable browsers will
allow you to use CANVAS commands to examine the pixel colours of images
loaded from your own domain, but not images you've loaded from a Google
domain. Saving the images to your own domain and reloading them would be

 There's a bit more than that. I would guess the OP is purposely
leaving his key out to keep it secret.

To the OP: I suggest looking over about 10 simple examples and note
the order of things carefully.
