I would summon the respective heads of every branch of service (including the National Guard) and direct them to round up every Muslim serving on active duty and immediately grant them an honorable discharge, shake their hand and tell them "Thanks but no thanks".
Then I would trot my happy ass to the nearest courtroom and petition to have my name changed to Bradley Harold Nobamowich.

You are excused, because we have been programmed by evolution to make such ridiculous over-generalizations. That doesn't change the fact that such over-generalizations are ridiculous now, since most of our evolutionary tendencies are designed to optimize behavior in a milieu that ended 20,000 years ago or so.
>I would summon the respective heads of every branch of service (including >the National Guard) and direct them to round up every Muslim serving on >active duty and immediately grant them an honorable discharge, shake their >hand and tell them "Thanks but no thanks".
And I'm sure you'd be saying the same thing if this was some white kid from Alabama.

Sorry but for me it's simply a conflict of interest and a trust issue. I've served in Muslim Countries and I have a lot of respect for them in general. In previous combat zones we didn't have issues such as this, Germany is mostly a Catholic and Protestant Country but we didn't have American soldiers saying I can't fight against other Catholic's etc. Notice that I did grant them an Honorable Discharge and they are welcome to stay in the Country, just not in the Military. :)

Didn't we do this already during the WWs with vaguely german sounding names and slanty eyed people in detention camps?
The greatness of America is based in the fact we're mutts.
