Well... except Harrington was a 50 cent arm with 10 cent receivers.

They were thrown to 14 times. They caught two passes. They had 6 drops.
Lions starting receivers vs. Rams:
Bryant Johnson - 18 catches/241 yards/1 td Dennis Northcutt - 17 catches/161 yards/1 td

To me, that shows how good a quarterback Cutler really is. Devin Hester is a bad cornerback turned below average receiver. Earl Bennett is just not very good. I am sure Johnson and Northcutt aren't much either, but I think if you reverse the receivers, the reception numbers change as well.

I don't. I'd swap Hester and Bennett for JOhnson and Northcutt in a second.
Bryant Johnson MIGHT be an acceptable third receiver. Dennis Northcutt is horrible.
Outside Calvin Johnson (who is hurt) - Detroit has the worst group of receivers in the NFL.
That isn't to say Stafford has played well, but his receivers are hideous.

cutler is good now, stafford will be good in a bit....both are qb's any team will want to have a couple years from now.........
cj is a stud, but of course he is hurt. Other than him, both teams have trash I wouldn't run on the field in an arena league game......the fact that devin hester(an undersized reciever who cant run routes and appears to not know what back shoulder is) is the #1 reciever on any team is downright scary.......
but personnel changes...recievers change....ol's change.......in a couple years if the right changes are made both cutler and stafford will be good nfl qb's....no question.

you've been proven wrong on this several times.....if stafford fails as an nfl qb, it won't be because of his brain. By all objective accounts, he is very bright.

ummmmm.....maybe he's smart and maybe he is dumn....but in making that assumption you apparently dont know much about vanderbilt and football/ basketball scholarships......

But he's made the two biggest mistakes already ... coming out early and signing with the Lions.
If he is to be successful, he needs to get out of Detroit and under a competent tutor who will bring him along properly.
Otherwise, he'll be repeatedly beaten up and have virtually no success to show for it.
Not much different than what was purported when he was drafted, not much different than what has transpired.

There's booksmarts and then there's football smarts. Stafford may be book smart, but his football smarts aren't NFL-caliber. In this way, you could say that he's similar to a guy who was booksmart enough to muddle through undergraduate work with a C average, then work/cheat his way through medical school, but who clearly has no common sense at all.
