St. John's should be the host based upon the NCAA's own criteria of "regional strength of schedule" because their conference is stronger this year. These ratings do not count games against NAIA teams...of which UWW had two.
It also doesn't take into consideration MOV - and UWW and SJC have two common opponents. St. Johns beat both at home by less than a TD. UWW beat both by 20+...one on the road. Therefore the "eye test" says UWW is the better team.

I don't think so either.
And our athletic director said that we'd beat them up there anyway.

And the BCS gang will point to this as a reason why the NCAA can't be trusted with an FBS tournament.

And yet, those same BCS schools have no problem with the NCAA handling a Division I basketball tournament despite the fact that the Division III tournament has the same "geographic-based bracket".
Remember, if the NCAA creates a tournament, the BCS schools can't break away and have their own tournament (I believe it's called the "Marquette Rule," after Marquette turned down an NCAA basketball tournament bid somewhere around 1970, I think, and entered the NIT instead).
