but why aren't the public option people simply pushing for universal

Actually if they were smarter politicians they would have gone for
broke and pushed Single Payer and settled for Public Option.

Many of us were. Even Pelosi was supposedly considering
calling it Medicare Part E just a couple weeks ago.
