From ESPN: First they kept them out of the BCS, now the big-money conferences want to knock lesser-conferences out of bowls completely. According to CBS Sports' Ray Ratto, the big six conferences have quietly floated a proposal that would allow their 6-6 teams to oust a non-BCS 8-4 or 9-3 team out of a bowl game.... more »

.....just curious. I've gotten into a pissing match with a fellow on rec.music.beatles about what it means to be underrated. In his opinion, since you can't ask hundreds of people their opinions about a particular vocalist, for example, it's impossible to call them underrated because, "everyone might rate them highly." You have to be careful who you get advise from. "Oh don't do a masters in XX, it's useless. Get an MBA." Funny thing is MBA along with IT is like the most saturated thing there is. No scarcity whatsoever for either. The biggest culprits of this by the way are in finance, lawyers, or doctors. Also foreigners/minorities tend to have that narrow minded... more »
