(KPL) Technical staff of the ministries of National Defence and Public Security and members of the Commission of National Defence and Security of the National Assembly exchanged lessons on playing their roles and works at a seminar held in Vientiane province between 27 and 28 October. A two-day seminar titled a lesson exchange on the implementation of role and duty of the Commission for National Defence and Security of the National Assembly , was chaired by President of the National Assembly, Mr Thongsing Thammavong. More than 50 officials from the central level, Vientiane Capital, the ministries of National Defence and Public Security and senior officials of the National Assembly, members from 10 provincial constituencies, took part in the event. Each participant briefed their previous conditions of social-ill and future action plans on the prevention of social-ill phenomena. The roles and inspection of the Commission of National Defence and Security of the National Assembly was also briefed at the seminar. President of the National Assembly Thongsing advised each sector to take into account of addressing social-illness phenomena in a better, more appropriate and more realistic manner because hostile forces have been continuing their efforts to undermine our nation. They (hostile groups) have penetrated and raised the issues of ethnic groups, religion, human rights and terrorism in their effort to undermine our national unity and slandering the Party and Government s policies.

If aware of such, why signing the ratification by the LPDR of the International Convention on Civil and Political Rights ( ICCPR ) which guarantees to the Lao people the freedom of belief, freedom of association, freedom of expression and freedom of the press, as well as the rights to protest and political rights.

Either they were accused of GOING to protest or they really were GOING to but got intercepted first. or could be arrest for overload passengers or unsafe driving? There are hundred teams of news agency around MeaungLao who make news for living, if any Lao get arrest for protest, will they like to sell their news?
Suppose things were really happened, could you dare to sell the news if you were a newsman in Lpdr?
Don't be so naive! How much do you comprehend about Lpdr's freedom you've always talked about! Don't misconceive between freedom in the US with the one in Lpdr!
