It's the fabrication work of bad element groups abroad . Just look at those names and organizations that making noises were the same people and groups that would always cried and complained the past few years . I believe the part that you can proof that the event never exist. Of course as the only legal party in Laos the LPDR can manufacture any fact/lies that they want the public to consume. Just remember that those facts/lies will only be believe or pretend to believe by the Laotians in Laos because you force them to believe. We live in the West, we have the ability to question anything and everything if we think it's untrue.

RFA is lie 1000%. LPDR is lied 1000,000 %. LPDR is one of the most respectful news in our country. I said it over and over that Free Press, Free Democracy, Free People did not work in LPDR. The Lao Ambassador to the UN and High Ranking Official DKJ are being seen as nervous wrecks already with this breaking news and both have grossly contradicted in what they say. One said, it never happened; the other said, it failed. The latter holds truth in this case. The demonstrators failed because as long as the LPDR regime remains in power, they will stop anybody for doing anything they disagree with. They have a special police military force that control independendant thinking people on a daily basis. They are the Gestapo of Southeast Asia that will not hesitate to remind none compliants that they are tough. Then you are arrested, they will send you to concentration camps and remove your teeth, hair and bury you in mud chambers. Due process and trial is too good for non compliants. They have a board in the Politburo to decide whether the arrested are to be impounded.
As time and time again has shown, the LPDR regime can maintain these operations. All who do not follow politically corrected rules, are either over the age of usefulness or are just considered to be undesirable and were exterminated. The only freedom to march peacefully or not is, pertaining to the LPDR Ambassador to the UN, under the auspice of the chosen government, LPDR, who forced itself to power.
When power was being transferred by force to the hands of tyrants, so are their duties of operation. Everything must be in uniform. A system cannot be Communist if it operates differently.
It's going to take more than Lao Human Rights groups to change the current government.

I flew off Wattay in the morning of 31st Oct 2009... so I missed all the fun.
All I can say is that there has been some visible increase in security in Vientiane in the last two weeks when I was there with the sudden appearance of soldiers patrolling in the Morning Market and at Thatluang. It is quite obvious... every one can see them...and people start asking what was going on.
I did not follow up what was going on as I just went on my own business....having a good time, drinking lots of fresh coconut juice, having daily massage, hair washed every 2nd days and busy doing my shopping with all sort of bargain as the sellers were desperate to sell their goods. Business seems to be booming but every one was saying that business is bad this year. There are more lookers than real buyers. I was loooking for a set of wireless microphones and the guy wanted to make a good profit from me by selling for $US180. I laughed and walked off. The next day he saw me, he offered to sell for $100...then $80...then finally $70... but I did not buy.
During my last day, I stopped by Dongdok because my wife wanted to see her old dormitory and classroom. As we were taking photo of her old classroom building and her dorm, we were stopped by the security guard and we were told that we were not allowed to take photo at all... and that we would be retained. After some discussion, it happened that the guard knew all the people that my wife was talking about and a lady happened to walk pass and she overheard our discussion, she was thrilled that my wife was the student of her mother who used to teach at dongdok - and a very well known teacher and related to the guard! So, we were allowed to leave....
