Here we go again! Another news for kindergardeners. What a coincident isn't it that another news is being released amid the controversy of the other news. I wonder why???? hmm???.......stirring up the pot, may be? Anyway, guess where this news came from? But wait! If you're afraid you're going to hurt yourself from using your brain a bit, then, well, I can help. It came from the CPPA in Washington DC where Philip Smith works. I am sure you know who this guy is and how credible he is. Some of you may already have this guy on your payroll. And BTW, if you're interested to release any online news, you just write up any news you want and pay $6 to have the Online PR (Public Release) released your news on the internet and make it like an official news. Thank you PBL for your effort trying to brainwash lao people and create a division. You know what? keep trying hard, OK? but don't give up your day job. Keep talking and if you're keeping long enough there will be more ບັກ ກໍ ບັກ ຂໍ believing in your stories.

In case you miss it, here is what I copied and pasted from the Online PR: "President Barack Obama is also being urged to address the current Lao Hmong refugee crisis in Thailand where over 5,000 Laotian and ethnic Hmong political refugees face forced repatriation back to the Stalinist regime in Laos that they fled. The Lao Hmong refugees do not want to return to the communist regime in Laos where they fled political and religious persecution as well as armed attacks by the Lao army."
Don't cry too loud when PBL farts you always bark.
TSMY "urged to address" NOT "will address" to hmong issue at HNK. I am afraid the Lao refugees issue is deeper than it may be, even the UN is too ineffective to act. The ASEAN toothless tiger is too busy chasing their own tail. Why Laos spend so much efforts holding on to these 5000 in HNK declared as unwanted by LPDR, there are some 200,000 Lao people illegally working in Thailand! how they can be brought back home by creating jobs for them.
Jerry, PRonline is only one source, we must weight all sources. From what I have heard; there have been arrests made! for what reason we don't know. I hope the wide net casting by LPDR is just a temporary measure leading up to SEA game and everyone will be released soon.

Whether this news was fabricated or not, maybe you should ask the typical Lao nai to tell you (if they trust you) to see why thousands of Viet soldiers dress in plain clothes are in Laos. What purpose do they serve in Lao lands since war was ended 34 years ago since Laos makes peace with its neighboring countries and certainly no any nation borders to Laos plans to evade her. The answer is plain and simple. Viet soldiers come to Laos to fight the freedom fighters whether they are Chao Fa groups, student democracy movements, Christian groups, plain civilians whose lands are sold to Viet, or university graduates that can't find jobs in their own country and force themselves to go to Thailand to work. Each year, millions of million dollars are given as grant to Laos from good well donors to develop infrastructures, hospitals, schools, etc to help its population as they call it "proverty reduction grants" but 80% of these monies go the idiots of few on the top, very little of them reach the intended projects. Tell me how could Yong, the embassador to the UN, buy and transported his Javanese from Indonasia to Laos when a typical civil servant makes $20.00 a month or Yong's a 3-month salary could pay for a Mercedes Bench? Corruption and bribery is the answer!!!!
So keep on crying Jerry.
Ai Bao,
Keep on doing what you know best. Spread the freedom message loud and clear. If Soviet Union could disappear, Laos one day will follow it too. Let the Freedom bell rings!

what is interesting about china is that lately, it has granted some people to dissent. yes they get detained a day or two ahead of this most important visit by obama to china. that sucks.

Now, the whole country of good flat lands are sold to China, S. Korea, Viet and Thailand. Lao citizens are very confused and mad now. Every Lao nai is required to pay 8% property taxes for their own properties ( source from Laos). If the land owners do not use their own lands for 3 years the lands belong to the government and government can sell them to others, mainly foreigners, that is the new Lao laws.
If Lao nai don't do anything, they are going to be forced out of the own lands and move to??? Live on makeshif rafts on man-made lakes, rugged mountains, Mekong river, who knows. It is time for Lao Nai to take control of their own lands where their ancestors handed to them for generations. Just wait and see in the coming months.

It is very true about American dropped bombs in Laos. That was 40+ years ago and true that people still suffering every day. There is no denial about that. I am the witness for that 100%.
But if Laos is to be under control of foreign power is far worst than to clean up UXO. Laos should be govern by Lao and support by all Lao citizens.

Personally and ignorantly I have to say that I don't really care what happens in Laos and who runs Laos because it does not affect me and my family and the US is my country which I have sweared to protect and defense. But what bothers me more is lao people who are living their life as it is still in the past 30-40 yrs ago. What they knew 30-40 yrs ago is not that all true today. The social environment has changed; the way new generation of people think has changed. If you ask a new generation of laotians today, they don't really care for the old guards from both sides of the fence. On the issue, yes, we have analyze the issue from all angle and arrive at a conclusion. More importantly, look at people who create the news and their motives behind the news or a study. For example, if you see in a news headlines saying that "smoking does not effect your health" then you may think that it's true. But if you read on and find that the study was conducted or sponsored by Phillips Morris then you'll definitely have some doubt on the result of the study.

It's just like politics, when you used the wrong words at wrong place, it's a no go. catch a blue gills is the same way, you have to used the right baits for the right kind of fish. try to used the earth worm like every body else, not Mark Lenin to catch a blue gills. I guarantee you that you will catch as many as you want.
